Members & classes
Graduations setup
This is where you define your club's belt ladders -- the foundation that lets you award belts and stripes to members later. Here you decide which belts exist per discipline, the order they follow, and the requirements for a promotion.
Navigate to Settings > Graduations to manage your belt ladders. Awarding belts to members happens on the member profile -- see Graduations.
Belts and disciplines
Each belt belongs directly to a discipline and carries:
- a colour and an icon for its visual representation,
- a sequence within the track (which belt follows which),
- an audience (
kids,teens, oradults).
The audience lets you run separate belt tracks for the same discipline -- for example a dedicated kids ladder and an adults ladder with different belts.
Default belt ladders
Clubs that enable graduations automatically receive default belt ladders appropriate to the discipline type (e.g. BJJ for adults and kids). You can then adapt them to your federation or school.
Promotion requirements
For each belt you can define requirements that must be met before a member can be promoted. Currently supported:
| Requirement | Description |
|---|---|
| Minimum months | the member must have held the current belt for at least X months. |
| Minimum stripes | the current belt must have at least X stripes. |
| Minimum classes per stripe | a set number of classes attended between promotions. |
| Minimum classes total | an alternative requirement based on total classes attended. |
Requirements belong to the target belt
A requirement always belongs to the belt a member is progressing toward. A requirement on the blue belt therefore gates promotion into blue and is evaluated against the member's current (e.g. white-belt) progress.
Based on these requirements, the system can identify members who are ready for a promotion and shows training progress ("X / Y classes") in the relevant places.
Multiple belt tracks
If a member trains several disciplines or should progress in parallel tracks, the system supports multiple belt tracks per member. When this option is enabled, you can choose which track to enrol into when awarding, and close old tracks deliberately (for example, closing the kids track when a member moves up to the adults track).
