Classes & attendance
Member app
The Omoplata app is the mobile companion to your club. It lets your members use many features conveniently from their smartphone. The app is available to every club and already included in the price.
What can members do in the app?
Depending on the features your club has enabled, members can use the app to:
- indicate their attendance intention for classes,
- check in to classes on site via QR code,
- swap classes,
- take part in competitions and leaderboards,
- manage their personal details,
- and download their membership contract.
If parents and children are stored with the same email address, their accounts are linked automatically. When opening the app and when starting the QR scanner, you are asked which family member the app is currently being used for (see Dependents).
Standard app or branded club app
By default, your members use the Omoplata app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Alternatively, you can opt for your own branded club app with your app icon and your branding. This involves a one-time setup fee as well as monthly maintenance costs -- contact our support for this.
Your presets
Before you get started with the app, configure the app and check-in to match your club:
- Set the app options under Settings > App settings and the check-in options under Settings > Check-in.
- If you want to assign members to fixed class time slots, switch the membership selection mode to Time slots under Settings > General (see Training selection).
- Print the QR codes from Settings > Check-in and put them up in your club.
Putting up the QR codes correctly
The QR codes have two functions: members are assigned to your club with them (this step is skipped with a branded app), and they check in on site.
- Put up a separate QR code for each venue.
- If a venue runs parallel classes in different areas (e.g. Mat 1 / Mat 2), print a separate code for each area.
- If you enable the Ignore facility option in the check-in settings, a single code per venue is enough -- even if several are still shown to you.
Example
You have two venues. The main venue has three areas set up (Mat 1, 2, 3), and the secondary venue has one (Mat 1). With the Ignore facility option enabled, you print only one code for the main venue (e.g. Mat 2) and the Mat 1 code for the secondary venue -- so two codes in total.
Also check under Classes that all classes are assigned to the correct venue or mat. You change the names of your mats and venues under Settings > Venues.
How your members get started
- Download the Omoplata app (or your branded app) from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Scan the QR code at the club (this step is skipped with a branded app).
- Enter the email address that was stored during registration at the club.
- Enter the 6-digit code that is sent by email.
After that, the member is logged in and can use the app.
Next steps
- Check-in -- how check-in via QR code works.
- Training selection -- attendance intention, classes and time slots.
